TikTok Launches New Support Initiatives for Small Business Month

As part of its Small Business Month programming, TikTok has rolled out a new suite of initiatives aimed at supporting U.S.-based small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), including a $1 million ad credit giveaway and a series of educational events. The move comes as the platform continues to face political scrutiny and legal uncertainty regarding its operations in the U.S.

Among the new offerings, TikTok is hosting “Small Biz Fest” events in Los Angeles, New York City, and Austin, giving business owners a chance to learn how to better leverage the platform for growth. A weekly TikTok Academy webinar series is also launching on May 15, aimed at helping SMBs optimize their presence on the app. In addition, the company is releasing a video podcast series, 100 Ways to Grow on TikTok, featuring stories and tips from small business users.

In a statement, TikTok said: “Small businesses are the heart of innovation, culture, and community across the United States, and on TikTok, their impact is bigger than ever.”

The centerpiece of this campaign is a $1 million ad credit program, with 500 eligible businesses each receiving $2,000 in ad credit and access to a consultation with a TikTok ads expert. Credits will be issued by June 14 and must be used by July 14, adding urgency to the campaign push.
