TikTok Shuts Down Creator Marketplace, Moves to AI-Powered TikTok One
TikTok is phasing out its Creator Marketplace, shifting brands and creators to a more expansive platform called TikTok One. The company has notified users that starting March 2, brands will no longer be able to invite creators or launch new campaigns through the existing marketplace. The full shutdown is scheduled for April 1, after which the website will redirect visitors to TikTok One.
Despite the marketplace’s closure, TikTok One will continue to facilitate brand-creator collaborations while offering additional features to help marketers produce TikTok-native content. The new platform includes tools for trend tracking, creative guidance, and AI-assisted content generation.
As part of this transition, TikTok is also shutting down its Video Generator tool, previously available through the TikTok Creative Center. Users will instead be directed to Symphony Creative Studio, an AI-powered content creation suite. Symphony offers marketers AI-generated scripts, trend summaries, and automated video editing capabilities. The AI can remix existing footage or generate content using digital avatars, with options to localize videos for different markets.
AI-driven features are also being integrated into TikTok’s Ads Manager, allowing brands to create and optimize ads with minimal manual input. The platform’s Script Generator can generate TikTok-style video scripts based on product details and industry information.
TikTok has been preparing for this transition since announcing plans to consolidate its creator collaboration tools under TikTok One last May. Ahead of the Creator Marketplace’s shutdown, the company is advising advertisers to migrate their data to the new platform.
