X Aims To Use 2024 Momentum For Further Innovation

In 2024, X solidified its position as a central hub for digital interaction, with significant gains in user engagement and a lot of new innovations under the hood. While a lot of changes since Elon Musk’s takeover have been questionable – and some actively disliked by a large portion of the platform – X has still made a lot of changes and attempted numerous overhauls of some core systems.

According to X’s own report, the platform introduced over 100 new features and products in this year alone, split between improving the user experience and creating more opportunities for bands and advertisers. Again, while not all of them will have had the impact that was expected, many have set the groundwork for additional tweaks and overhauls within the next few years.

With X now primarily focused on the awkward “Q5” period between December and January, it’s likely that the platform will be winding down any major changes until the end of 2025, instead focusing on making use of the increased user and advertiser engagement over the post-holiday season.

X aims to push into 2025 with renewed momentum, using the successes of 2024 as a springboard to help focus on what’s both important and profitable for the platform. Given the introduction of features like AI targeting for small business advertising and other similar changes, X will most likely still be a popular choice for advertisers and new business owners, even with the ocacsional disliked updates to the platform’s core features.
