Meta is pushing its AI-based advertising tools to the forefront, sharing new insights into how automation is enhancing ad performance across its platforms. Through its Advantage+ campaigns and tools powered by the advanced “Andromeda” ad retrieval system, advertisers are seeing measurable results that suggest AI is having a signficnant impact on their digital marketing efforts.

According to Meta, the Andromeda system improves personalization by analyzing numerous factors to deliver more relevant ads. This update has reportedly enhanced ad recall by 6% and ad quality for selected segments by 8%. These advancements, Meta claims, are translating directly into better outcomes for advertisers and leading to more successful ad campaigns, even if the users themsleves are doing the same amount of work and creating mostly the same contnet.

For instance, businesses that implemented AI-driven targeting within the Advantage+ system experienced a 22% increase in return on ad spend (ROAS). Meanwhile, those using Meta’s generative AI tools for image creation have seen a 7% boost in conversions, meaning that AI images – despite being a controversial topic among artists and other creatives – are having at least a decent amount of success when it comes to advertising.

Meta’s generative AI features, introduced earlier this year, enable advertisers to create custom visuals directly within the platform. Despite initial skepticism about the quality of AI-generated images, these tools have already been adopted by over a million advertisers, leading to the creation of 15 million ads in a single month.

The reliance on AI allows Meta to optimize ads based on user behavior across its platforms, providing an alternative to traditional audience targeting. This data-driven approach removes guesswork, relying instead on engagement metrics to refine ad delivery – and, as AI improves, this level of success might become a footnote to what AI-drive nadvertising can achieve in the near future.
