Pinterest Rolls Out New Holiday Hub and Tools for Advertisers
Pinterest has launched new features and tools to help businesses optimize their advertising efforts during the holiday season. The updates include a Festive Season Hub that’s focused entirely on the holiday season and its advertising trends, as well as advanced ad options designed to make it easier for brands to stand out and drive engagement.
One of the key updates is the introduction of “Special Offers” for Pin ads. This feature allows advertisers to highlight discounts, free delivery, and other promotions using customizable tags. These tags, available in over 20 templates, can be added to standard, video, and shopping ads, making deals more visible and appealing to shoppers browsing the platform.
Another upgrade is Pinterest’s enhanced automation tools, including the Performance+ ad suite. This tool simplifies campaign setup by automatically handling tasks like targeting, budgeting, and bidding. Advertisers can toggle specific Performance+ features within their campaigns, ensuring they’re applying best practices to achieve optimal results.
In addition to automation, Pinterest has introduced AI-powered background generation for Pin ads. This feature helps create visually appealing and unique designs for promotions, enabling brands to capture more attention in users’ feeds. All these features are part of Pinterest’s 2024 Festive Season Hub, a dedicated mini-site offering insights, tips, and guidance on how to effectively use Pinterest’s ad tools effectively in the holiday season.
These improvements come off the back of recent expansions to the platform’s shopping features, which themselves may have been a response to the record user growth that Pinterest recently saw. The high amount of users that see Pinterest as a tool for online shopping makes this new holiday hub invaluable for both new and returning advertisers, making it much easier to create campaigns for holiday sales and seasonal products in the short time we have left before Christmas and New Years’ Day.
