Strava Introduces AI-Powered Athlete Intelligence Insights
Strava, the popular fitness tracking program and exercise-focused social network app, has launched a new AI-powered workout insights system named Athlete Intelligence. Available as a public beta for subscribers, Athlete Intelligence interprets complex fitness data, helping athletes of all levels understand their performance metrics with ease.
This feature analyses workout data from activities like runs, rides, and hikes to provide tailored insights across metrics such as pace, heart rate, elevation, power, and Strava’s proprietary Relative Effort. By aggregating data over the past 30 days, Athlete Intelligence offers users a clearer picture of their progress, highlights personal milestones like fastest pace or longest distance, and provides actionable tips for future activities.
Athlete Intelligence is designed to reduce complexity in understanding fitness data, offering easily digestible summaries of performance trends, milestones, and personalized feedback. Strava’s Chief Product Officer Matt Salazar noted that this feature reflects user feedback and aims to offer deeper context and guidance for each athlete’s unique activity profile.
Athlete Intelligence can be accessed with a single tap as long as users are subscribed to the platform, and has an opt-out setting for users who aren’t interested in the AI insights.
