CLIQ Announces Crowdfunding Campaign on Seedrs
UK-based social discovery platform CLIQ has shared its upcoming crowfunding campaign, and potential investors can now register their interest on Seedrs.
CLIQ’s Co-founder, Nicola Gunby, announced the crowdfunding campaign via a LinkedIn post. She also shared some stats about the app’s growth so far, including that it has achieved over 20,000 downloads with zero marketing spend.
According to Gunby, the friend-finding app sees Weekly Active Users of up to 43% and Daily Active Users of up to 23%. Additionally, it has a waitlist of over 100k users to join CLIQ’s V1 update, currently in development.
Moreover, CLIQ is working on an advertising platform to allow its communities to monetise. Gunby also adds that the CLIQ team is building partnerships with big brands and influencers in fitness and wellness.
Some popular communities on CLIQ include the ‘Girls Who Walk’ Club, the ‘London Book Club’ and the ‘Social Wellness Club’. On the platform, users can connect with other individuals to make friends, and join interest-based clubs to participate in the group chats and in-person meetups.
Through its focus on communities and their events, the platform is designed to foster authentic in-person friendships rather than surface-level digital interactions.
Investments will start from £20 for the crowfunding campaign hosted on Seedrs. While CLIQ has yet to share when it will go live, any potential investors can register their interest here.
