HyperConnect Recruits Former CEO of Twitch Korea
Leading video streaming platform company HyperConnect is making a strategic move by appointing the former CEO of Twitch Korea to head Hakuna, its social livestreaming app.
With the newly appointed Ha-Kyung Lee acting as Hakuna’s general director, the company hopes to expand and grow the app’s reach, particularly with American users.
Lee’s prior role at the helm of Twitch Korea means that her expertise in gaming, live streaming broadcasting, and global business is highly relevant to driving growth in this new role.
“We see Hakuna as a powerhouse in the global live streaming industry, with limitless growth potential,” Lee shared in a recent announcement. “Our focus will be on cultivating a vibrant ecosystem where [livestream] hosts and Hakuna thrive together, fueled by boundless creativity.”
The appointment signals a new and promising chapter ahead for Hakuna Live, with HyperConnect’s Vice President highlighting its commitment to solidify the app’s position as the most enjoyable and convenient livestreaming platform.
Recent enhancements to the web service home screen and filters available to mobile app users aim to improve the user experience further.
