Hunch Raises $23 Million To Fund Its Global Expansion
Anonymous social Q&A app Hunch successfully raises $23 million in its latest push for investment to fund its global expansion plans.
Hunch removes the fears that might prevent someone from sharing their real opinions by allowing its users to post and respond to polls anonymously.
The app’s CEO and co-founder, Ish Goel, recently shared its ambitions for a worldwide expansion, and it looks like funding to set this in motion is now secured.
The investment round marks another milestone for the Dubai-based app, with leading investors including Alpha Wave, Hashed, and others.
Hunch already has a strong user base in India, and this injection of capital will support its efforts to expand to the U.S. market and beyond.
According to Goel, the milestone also confirms that Hunch has reached ‘Product-Market Fit‘, meaning it’s aligned to its users’ needs and its operating model successfully monetizes that relationship.
It’s clear investors believe in Hunch’s potential to scale the business, with the CEO & Managing Partner of Hashed commenting:
“With fatigue growing among Gen Z around apps that promote vicarious living, there is a big opportunity to build something that promotes being real without the filters.”
Hunch has skyrocketed in popularity since its inception in 2022, which supports the idea that more young people are seeking a space where they can interact authentically without fear of judgement.
