Atly Launches Location Discovery Map For The Gluten-Sensitive
Gluten sensitivity is on the rise globally, and social mapping app Atly, which helps users discover new places to visit, has launched a map that’s set to enhance the food discovery experience for the gluten-free community.
Atly offers user-generated social mapping of places relevant to a user’s search, like a Reddit for real-world locations.
Users on the app can view comments from other users about a specific eatery, as well as how many others have recommended it.
While the number of people intolerant to gluten is reportedly on the rise, few developers in the social discovery and mobile app spaces are presently providing this community with a reliable tool to easily find new restaurants fit for their needs.
Atly’s newly launched ‘Gluten-Free Eats’ map, currently available to early-bird subscribers for a monthly price of $6.99 (USD), is an answer to this growing need for efficient gluten-free dining discovery.
“We’re proud to be providing a resource that is not only unmatched in its comprehensiveness but also rooted in the real needs and experiences of those it serves,” shared Atly’s CEO and Co-Founder in a press release.
The map’s features include:
- A classification system enabling users to easily identify an eatery’s safety level based on their own degree of sensitivity to gluten. Developed with dieticians and nutritionists, it demystifies the dining search and discovery experience for those with this dietary need.
- Up-to-date information on an establishment’s gluten-free practices, how knowledgeable the staff are about this dietary need, and how they ensure individual menu items are cooked and prepared safely for gluten-free diners. Atly says it engages directly with restaurants to check the map is accurate and reliable.
- Community support: map members can share recommendations and insights, report issues, and contribute to the map’s collective knowledge base. They can also support each other and connect through its social features, like through the comments.
Currently, over 7,000 map-based communities exist on Atly worldwide. Each one links locations to a community’s specific interests, needs and recommendations.
