Bumble BFF the Best App for Fun According to Google Users
Bumble BFF has been recognised in this year’s Google Play App Awards. Bumble BFF won best app for fun in a consumer voted section of the awards.
Bumble BFF has been a part of the Bumble experience for a good few years – but this year, its popularity had proved enough to justify the separation into its own app. The separation and distinction has clearly been a hit among users. Many, myself included, are much more comfortable having a dedicated app for social discovery and friends, than one mingled in with dating purely as it is not something lots of poeple are interested.
In a blog post Bumble commentend:
“This accolade was the result of consumer votes, which holds special significance to us as it’s a testament to the impact Bumble For Friends is having at a time when loneliness and isolation have reached epidemic levels. In the coming months we’ll be focused on refining Bumble For Friends following feedback from our members—and on introducing new features to help bring our community together IRL.”
It’s already been a big few months at Bumble, with new CEO Lindiane Jones taking the mantle, and founder Whitney Wolfe Herd stepping down to the position of Executive Chair. Change is coming at the company, and it has been speculated the focus could shift to the friendship finding realm over dating in the coming years to move the business forward. Winning awards like this will perhaps only contribute further to that new direction and focus for Bumble.
